Expression – Gestures

We all know music can be very touching and some times even bring tears to our eyes.

Playing the right notes perfectly or playing with many notes or fast is not enough to create wonderful music.

Accents, staccatos, creativity, doing the unexpected or unusual, slight and significant variations in volume and in tempo, and pauses between notes or phrases are some of the tools to create enjoyable feelings.

But all of that is not enough because facial expressions and gestures are also a very important substance to add quality and feelings to any musical performance.
